Digital Cable

  • Digital Music Express (DMX) – 37 digital music channels to explore and enjoy!  DMX is a satellite delivered stand-alone music service broadcasting CD-quality music 24 hours a day with no disc jockeys and no commercial interruptions.
  • Interactive Program Guide (IPG) - is a convenient way to find out what’s on your TV and to view a list of upcoming programs.  Lists of programs are available for any date seven days out.  See what’s on TV for a particular channel, program theme or program title; set up reminders to keep track of upcoming programs; Quick Record to start recording a program immediately on your DVR (subscription service); purchase Pay-Per-View events with the press of a key; set up unlimited Favorite Channels for a quick browse of your favorites!

Multiplex Premium Channels

Lake Las Vegas Communications offers a total of 39 premium service channels. Each premium network (choose from HBO The Works, Cinemax, Showtime Unlimited and Starz! SuperPak) offers a number of channels that are different, yet complementary to that network. These are "multiplex" channels.

When you subscribe to a premium network, you get even more access to the kinds of programs you want to see. And, you get as many as 16 channels of "movie channel" programming for the single price of subscribing to one network (just $11.99/mo. for each network).

HBO The Works (8 Total Channels)

HBO offers something for everyone! As America's #1 Premium channel, HBO delivers 8 different HBO channels...each offering exclusive and powerful hit movies, award winning original movies and series, World Championship Boxing and special events. Cinemax (6 Total Channels)

Cinemax delivers exclusive hit movies with Hollywood premieres you won't find anywhere else. Cinemax shows the most movies on pay TV with more current releases, all-time favorites, independents, plus, the fewest repeats of any premium service! Showtime Unlimited (14 Total Channels)

High Definition TV

  • Better Than Your Eyes Can See
     Compared to analog and SDTV (standard definition television), the traditional foundation for the TV you've known up until now, HDTV displays twice the vertical and horizontal resolution.  Plus, HD sets are built to display a different type of "pixel" — video-speak for "picture element" — that's square, instead of rectangular. That makes the sets capable of rendering those pixels in a wide-screen format, like the movies. This is why HDTV is "better than your eyes can see."
  • CD-Quality Sound
    Along with sharper pictures, HDTV brings better sound than standard television — with 5.1 channels of Dolby Digital surround sound, the same system used in many movie theaters. 
  • High Definition Channels
    Lake Las Vegas Communications now offers the top five broadcast networks in HD — NBC, FOX, CBS, PBS and ABC, as well as the entertainment channels — TNT HD, Discovery HD Theatre, Universal HD, MHD, MOJO, Showtime HD, Starz HD - and  three  sports channels — ESPN HD, Versus HD and NFL Network HD.

*If your HDTV does not have a built in QAM tuner, an SA 8300HD set-top box is required.  The SA8300HD integrates the technology of HD, Digital Cable and DVR so all you need is a single piece of equipment to enjoy HD, DVR and all the benefits of Digital Cable.

To receive HDTV programming, customer must have either 1) an HD-capable TV with a QAM tuner, or 2) an HD receiver from Lake Las Vegas Communications and a subscription to Digital Gateway or Digital Cable service.  Local HDTV Broadcast channels are provided free for all HDTV capable subscribers.  To receive HD Sports or Entertainment Packages, Digital Gateway or Digital Cable subscription required.  .

Want a simple way to take control over your TV — and your life? With Lake Las Vegas Communications DVR service, you can watch your favorite shows on your schedule, not the networks’. DVR service will absolutely change the way you watch TV! With DVR service, you can:

  • Record and store up to 50 hours of standard-definition programs or up to 20 hours of HDTV

Cable TV VS. Satellite

  • Lake Las Vegas Communications is a local company. It employs local cable technicians whose job is to service Lake Las Vegas Resort only.
  • You don’t need to buy expensive equipment to enjoy Lake Las Vegas Communications.  With satellite, a receiver is required for each television if you want to watch a different program in each room.  In addition to paying for these receivers, an extra service fee of $4.99-$5.99 per month per TV set could apply.
  • Professional installation is easy with Lake Las Vegas Communications and no equipment is installed on your roof. With satellite, typically you buy the equipment that is installed on the outside of your house. It’s yours to repair, to maintain and to upgrade when newer models are available.
  • Local channels are included free with your service.  With satellite, you may not receive every local channel and you may have to pay an additional monthly fee of $4.95-$5.95 per month.
